    Opera Thursdays

    If you’ve wanted to try opera but have been wary of committing to a full-fledged production, Opera Thursday can be a good introduction. Through a partnership with area restaurants and The Palmetto Opera, this series offers a sampling of opera during dinner. Performers will sing two or three arias from well-known operas during dinner hours.

    September 30th at the Capital City Club at 7:00pm.

Indulge your senses in a night of Italian dishes, exquisite wine and live performances of selections from some of the greatest Italian operas.

"La Boheme Meets the Three Baritones"
October 23, 2009 at Dreher High School Auditorium

The audience experienced the beauty of a love story and the joy of comedy in one evening. A concert version of the third act of La Boheme, one of Giacomo Puccini’s greatest works, was performed by John Fowler, Krista Wilhelmsen, Tina Millhorn Stallard and Hal McIntosh.

For the second part of the evening, The Three Baritones, Jacob Will, Hal McIntosh and Marc Rattray entertained with lively music and comedy.

"Marriage of Figaro"
2007 - Drayton Hall, University of South Carolina

The Marriage of Figaro, libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte and music by Mozart, was performed in its entirety. And, to the crowd’s delight, in English. The opera hit the stage of Drayton Hall, with all 400 seats sold out. Internationally experienced director Bill Fabris led the show starring Hal McIntosh and Margaret Kelly Cook, among other talented singers and musicians.
